shredlights announces new SL-200 model

Shredlights has announced a new model, the SL-200. Equip any skateboard, longboard, or electric skateboard with headlights and tail lights designed specifically for skateboarding.

The SL-200 is a complete upgrade in every facet from the previous model, the High Beams. Shredlight states that years of research and development have been put into creating a combination of strength and ease of use of these lights, which you attach to trucks.

This new version of the shredlights comes with a 3x bigger battery for up to 150h of battery life and 200 lumens of maximum brightness. This is what Shredlight had to say:

“The most requested upgrade was brightness, so we started there. We found a plastic and rubber construction to be the best way to absorb shock and keep everything lightweight, but faced challenges with overheating when increasing the brightness. We managed to get 200 lumens of brightness on high power by adding a heat sink that transfers heat away from the PCB. Our goal was to have a minimum of 3 hour battery life on full brightness to provide real world reliability. We then designed a custom lens with Far Focus technology to optimize the full brightness upgrade. This combination means you can see 15-20 feet ahead with the Combo Pack, and 25-30 feet ahead with theĀ Night Ops Pack.”

The shredlights SL-200 will be available at the end of July.
