E-bike retailer 50cycles signs £20m deal with Tour De France supplier

A Loughborough-headquartered e-bike retailer has signed a partnership with a Tour de France manufacturer which is potentially worth £20m over the next four years.

50cycles has agreed a deal with BH to become the sole distributor for its e-bike and sports range in the UK. The Leicestershire firm was founded by Scott Snaith in 2003. Spain’s BH, headquartered in the heart of the Basque region, has a pedigree going back more than 100 years.

“This season’s e-bike range is the strongest line up we have seen in 15 years of business.

BH was first set up in 1909 manufacturing guns. But in 1919, after World War I, it began making bicycles.
